It has the highest 'production value' of any fan project out there from what I've seen. The game follows a younger Uther, and features a lot of the FE7 and FE6 cast or their relations 15-20 years before FE7. It's got great writing, great graphics (all original mugs, some original animations), and a lot of new tactical elements.

I like it better than any of the official titles, and cannot recommend it strongly enough. Both normal and hard modes are available.Elibean Nights is a lot of one or two chapter stories following the cast of FE7 after the events of the game. It's reasonably challenging and is well produced.Dream of Five would be my third recommendation. Quite a few chapters (in linear order, though there is a route split), solid writing and graphics, with difficult, though imo not as inventive as the above two, gameplay.EDIT: Added Serenes Forest topic links and made DoF description a little more descriptive.
